Visual designer, illustrator, and storyteller Dave Stolte heads the boutique studio Wexler of California, providing creative services to the heritage and hospitality industries. Clients have included Disney, the City of Riverside, Pernod Ricard, Campari America, Marnier Lapostolle, Rémy Cointreau, Brown Forman, and Smuggler’s Cove.
He is the recipient of a Jesse H. Neal Business Journalism Award and was 2011 global champion at the Cut&Paste live design challenge in New York City. His work has been shown at the Society of Illustrators in New York City and Giant Robot Gallery in Santa Monica. Dave was profiled in Riversider Magazine of August/September 2024 in their “Riverside's Finest" series and in Imbibe magazine’s “Design Issue” of March/April 2016.
He is the author of Some Architect: Peter J. Weber's Enduring Creativity (published by Inlandia Institute) and is the author and publisher of Home Bar Basics (and Not-So-Basics), twice nominated for a Tales of the Cocktail® Spirited Award as “Best New Cocktail Book.”
Dave volunteers as president of Old Riverside Foundation, a historic preservation nonprofit founded in 1979. Furthering his community commitment, he serves on the city's Ward One Advisory Cabinet, the Riverside Cultural Directors Symposium, and other committees.
